Church Building
---------------

Marietta city is encountering the decision to build
another mega church with a school.

In short, this is the Federal level
GOD-Nation pumping money into the local
churches to be part of the GOD-Nation.

It is similar to President Bush paying
people $600 of their own money to vote for him.

Financially, part of what is
going on here is that the
monies are coming from borrowed money from
the federal government. First, the
government is keeping overnight interest
rates banks low by pumping borrowed
money to support the lower rate.
Furthermore, the Federal keeps pumping
borrowed money into the faith based initiative
while violating separation of church and state.

Still, another view of negativeness has
arisen.

On July 23, 2006 a reader named Tim Day of
Marietta enters a "DEAR EDITOR:" response
in the Marietta Daily Journal titled,
"City should vote no on church rezoning"

Mr. Day says about the proposed project that it is,

    " ... poor stewardship of church funds ... ".

The problem is that a good portion of
it is not their funds to begin with. When
one starts applying tax loopholes, Federal monies,
enticed reductions in interest rates, etc. those
who want no part of this project are forced
to help pay for it -- legal theft.

But Mr. Day presents another pressing aspect that
expands to other churches in Marietta:

"I fear that they will be like so many
    other landlocked churches, which aggressively
buy up every house and parcel of land
that comes available around the church
to enlarge, and then cut down more trees
and bulldoze houses for parking. "

The part that is not mentioned is the
loss of a tax base. One such church is the
Roswell Baptist church on Roswell Rd near
the Big Chicken. I have heard several
similar hints from people afraid to speak out.
It seems we are living in a dictatorship.

This all is a concern because the
GOD-Nation legally
stealing our money and paying our
local churches to go along with their
plans. Until the Federal Government
pays off their debt, they should not be
controlling the states with our money.

How about some conservative fiscal
responsibility, not a conservative dictatorship?

Thanks
