State Convention Delegate Selection

The Democratic committee of each 
county across the state of Georgia 
will select delegates for the state 
party tomorrow, July 22, 2006, at 9:00. 

This is important, because it 
allows the selection of delegates to 
control the party.  

For Cobb county, you can join the party 
at the door of the selection meeting.  
You probably could do it for any county.  

JJ-Nation Selling
-----------------
For my concerns, the GOD-Nation people are 
in control, and it is an opportunity to 
speak up to put the JJ-Nation back 
in control.  

Consequently, emphasis will be selling 
the JJ-Nation.  By the way, 
JJ stands for Jefferson-Jackson, 
which are the icons for the party, 
standing for:

* Freedom of religion, 
* individual strength and independence, 
* education, 
* balanced budget, 
* no debt or collateral debt.

The state web site at 
http://democraticpartyofgeorgia.org
is very good for contact info.

On the site go to the menu 
option "Our Party", don't click 
but just pause, a second menu 
drops down, click on "County Parties".  
A map of Georgia appears with the 
counties.  Click your county, and 
information about your county will appear.  
Usually, the location of the selection 
committee meeting will also appear.  

However, county contact information should appear 
and possibly a website so that you can contact 
someone.  

State Site Looks Good
---------------------
The state site does a good job about 
getting contact information out about each 
county.  Not all information may be available 
because of county problems.  

For Cobb
--------
For Cobb, it is at the Cobb County Main Library, 
266 Roswell St., two blocks off the square.
