"Performance was pitiful during the debate.  
Why are you running in the first place? "

(I responded:)

"Sorry for the performance, I had 
several distractions for which 
I have to learn to overcome.  
Your criticism is appreciated.  "

"For running, I feel our State and 
Nation needs many improvements, for which 
I am capable of changing because 
I understand the causes of the problems.  "

"Furthermore, nobody else is standing 
up to make those changes.  "
